High-profile Internet personalities and online video experts shared inside knowledge on how to create compelling online video productions in a unique collaborative forum at the Video Marketing Expo 2009. Austin, TX, May 22, 2009 – Businesses, marketers and video production professionals from across the US gathered in Austin, Texas last week to learn from leading industry experts how to create and deliver memorable online video. The Video Marketing Expo 2009 (VMX09), which took place at the Hilton Austin on May 13, is the only industry-specific event dedicated solely to helping individuals and businesses meet the challenges of developing effective and entertaining video specifically for the Internet. VMX09 provided an impressive line-up of high-profile speakers who shared their experience and techniques through a unique combination of keynote speeches, educational break-out sessions, collaborative forums and interactive panel discussions. The speakers included industry experts in broadcasting, online advertising, high-definition video production, Internet publicity and rich media marketing. All of the speakers remained on hand throughout the day to meet one-on-one with attendees. Keynoting the event was Brigitte Dale, 2008 Yahoo! Video Awards’ Internet Personality of the Year. Brigitte, who now creates her video blogs for ABC family, does all her own writing, shooting and editing, putting her in the perfect position to provide attendees with cutting-edge solutions for developing effective video productions. Other speakers included the Bui Brothers, LA based photographers and videographers specializing in online media and promotional photography, award-winning online magician Brian Brushwood, Troy Lanier and Clay Nichols of DadLabs, a company dedicated to providing creative media content for dads, and Ingrid Vanderveldt, TV personality and host of ‘On the Road With IV’. The attendees, including video-bloggers, podcasters, Internet TV producers, writers, videographers and marketing professionals, were overwhelmingly positive about the event: "VMX09… was a HUGE success as far as I am concerned. Incredible speakers who were VERY generous with time and IP." Stefan Lubinski, Sales and Marketing 2.0 guru. "VMX09 was a serious download of information that is vital to where I'm going. YES! Thanks @vmx09 for the dynamic speakers." Kristy Neyland, blogger and graphic designer. "A very informative & entertaining conference" Lyn Graft, Producer and founder of CLUB E Network and LG Pictures. At the conclusion of the event the winners of the VMX09 awards were announced, as voted by the public. S-Collective, an interactive marketing, new media and web design company, won the award for Most Innovative Video Marketing Campaign; Hubspot, an inbound marketing software company, won the award for Best Production; and Brigitte Dale won the award for Best Overall Video Series.
